Does protection get the level of attention that it requires? Podcast by Ken Maxwell in IFA Magazine

In a recent episode of the IFA Talk Podcast, our director, Ken Maxwell, joined Sue Whitbread and Brandon Russell to discuss the importance of client protection.
During the interview, Sue brought up an interesting point, questioning whether IFAs prioritise safeguarding their clients’ wealth with the same level of attention as they do in helping them increase it.
Ken suggested that the need for clients to protect their wealth after retirement is, in many cases, often overlooked. He also noted that, when a client is passing on succession planning to the next generation, utilising life insurance to provide the liquidity to pay for Inheritance Tax is a strategy often missed.
Ken also discussed:
• Protecting client wealth during their lifetime – personal and business
• The benefits of income protection and shareholder protection
• The % of businesses who are underinsured or not insured.
Our thanks to Brandon for organising and Sue for co-hosting. You can listen to the full episode below here.
